This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for arrangements made through cDask. Because most of our services involve third-party suppliers (yacht owners, cruise lines, hotels and others), refund eligibility is largely determined by the terms of those suppliers and the specific booking conditions you accept.
Refunds are processed only in accordance with the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier and any specific terms stated in your booking confirmation. We will always act in good faith to assist you and to recover amounts that are recoverable under those terms.
Yacht charter contracts (often based on standard forms such as MYBA) typically include a payment schedule and cancellation scale. Deposits are frequently non-refundable or partially refundable depending on how far in advance cancellation occurs. Once a charter is confirmed and the deposit paid, cancellation charges can be substantial. We will provide the applicable cancellation schedule before you commit. In the event of cancellation by the owner (for example due to mechanical issues), alternative arrangements or refunds are handled under the charter contract.
Cruise lines set their own cancellation policies, which vary by line, fare type and how close to departure the cancellation is made. Many fares become non-refundable after a certain date. We will clarify the applicable policy at the time of booking. Refunds, where due, are processed by the cruise line according to their timelines.
Individual components of a bespoke package each carry their own cancellation terms. Some hotels and experiences require non-refundable deposits or full prepayment. We itemise these where possible so you understand the risk associated with each element.
Where we charge a separate consultancy or planning fee, the refundability of that fee will be stated in the relevant agreement. In many cases planning work is non-refundable once substantial work has been undertaken.
Events beyond reasonable control (severe weather, political unrest, pandemic-related restrictions, supplier insolvency, etc.) may affect travel. Remedies depend on the supplier’s terms, any applicable insurance, and local law. We will assist with rebooking or claims where feasible but cannot guarantee outcomes outside our control.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers cancellation, curtailment, medical emergencies and activities relevant to your itinerary (including water-based activities on yacht charters). Insurance is the primary protection against many non-refundable losses.
Contact us in writing (email is acceptable) as soon as possible. We will confirm the applicable terms, calculate any refund due, and process recoverable amounts once received from the supplier. Processing times depend on the supplier and payment method.
